Slavutich Hotel is situated on the left bank of the river Dnepr, one of the three most big rivers of Europe.
The location of the Hotel caused its name: Slavutich – is Old Slavic name of the Dnepr.

"Slavutich Hotel is a good place to stay"
I stayed at this hotel in June 2007 and was pleasantly surprised by the rooms and hotel in general. I expected the real "Soviet" type, but got quite a "Western" hotel. The staff were freindly and assisted with internet and safe facilities. Rooms were basic with small showers. Just be carful if you go out on the balcony - there are some nasty spiders in Kiev and they seem to enjoy nesting on the balconies of the Slavutich Hotel. I didn't expect to get a spiderbite in Kiev! Only other thing to mention is that it is a 15 to 25 minute drive to the city centre and the taxi fares end up costing. It is too far to walk to the city centre.
Otherwise a wonderful city with the most beautiful women in the world. I call it "Supermodel Land" because it literaly is like walking around on a fashion shoot in the city centre! Enjoy!!
